Radicalisation of Islam: A Destabilizing Factor in Southeast Asia.
Abstract:
The increase in the number of incidents or terrorist actions instigated by Muslim groups in Southeast Asia in recent years results from two distinct phenomena. A transformation occurred which was not merely the consequence of events in Southeast Asia but also the effect of struggles that were taking place in other Muslim countries far from these homelands. This has led to the acculturation of some of their members, a change in their duties and a rising danger for the States of Southeast Asia.
