A little over two years after Moscow's massive aggression against Ukraine, the dynamics of the war seem uncertain and suspended, as they depend on various factors that are difficult to assess: the mobilization of societies, the effectiveness of the armies and their equipment, and the international standing of the adversaries... How can we decipher the two determining factors: the actual military situation on the ground and its prospects, and the social and political state of the societies facing each other? What future dynamics can we infer from this?

Subscribe to the Politique étrangère magazine at a reduced fare
Its first issue appeared in 1936 under the aegis of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies. It has been published by Ifri since 1979. Its ambition is to highlight all the elements of the debate in international relations, to offer in-depth analyzes of current events and to be a long-term reference instrument for academic circles, decision-makers and the civil society.
Each issue includes at least one report concerning an event or a dimension of the international debate, as well as several articles attempting to decipher current issues. The magazine also devotes a large space to current events from French and foreign publications in the field of international relations.
