A Strategic Moment for Russian Space Policy
Thanks to the renewed funding capacities of the federal budget, Russian space is back on tracks. Russia had very largely lost its eminent positions in space technologies in the 1990's. However, the current restructuring strategy seems incomplete: there is no true privatization or opening to foreign capital to match the concentration of the many Russian space industries into holding companies. The current policy could meet with mixed results.
