Earlier this year, the European Union and United States lifted nuclear-related sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran in accordance with the diplomatic agreement reached in July 2015. Within days, President Rouhani was travelling to Italy and France, striking deals worth billions of Euros.
However, major challenges remain, both foreign and domestic, in bringing Iran in from the commercial cold. With elections on the horizon both in Washington and Tehran, what are the prospects going forward?
