Industrial Cooperation in the Joint Strike Fighter Program
Can the JSF industrial cooperation model be applied to space exploration programs?
The JSF program has set up a new model of international cooperation, that is now criticed by most Europeans and some Americans. The idea of using that same model for future space exploration ventures, as proposed by the U.S. after the Bush Space Initiative of January, 2004, has been rejected by the Euopean space community. Nasa and the European Space Agency are currently discussing the future of the International Space Station and of space exploration. They are in a position to quickly develop new models of cooperation.
