Project Officer to the Director, Ifri

Siméo Pont has been a Projet Officer to the Director of the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) since June 2024. He coordinates the Director's activities and contributes to research and strategic discussions initiated by the Management Board.

He holds a Master's degree in Geopolitics from the École Normale Supérieure PSL and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in geopolitical risks, influence dynamics in sub-Saharan Africa, and European defense cooperation.

Before joining Ifri, Siméo Pont served as a Desk Officer at the General Staff of the Armed Forces and later at the Africa Directorate of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
