Dr. Nicola Leveringhaus is a Senior Lecturer in East Asian Security and International Relations in the Department of War Studies, King’s College London. Dr. Leveringhaus specializes in nuclear weapons issues in Northeast Asia, especially China, and East Asian security more broadly. Nicola was awarded a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2012-2015 to study nuclear responsibility in China, and has lectured at the University of Oxford and Sheffield, as well as the Centre for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, California. She has an MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies and DPhil in International Relations from St. Antony’s College, Oxford. She also holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BScEcon (Hons) in International Politics and Strategic Studies from the University of Aberystwyth.
