Aurélien Denizeau is an Associate Research Fellow at Ifri's Turkey/Middle East Programme. After completing a doctorate in political science and international relations at INALCO, he has worked in particular on contemporary Turkey, where he has conducted several field studies.

He is also a professor of geopolitics as well as Mediterranean history at the Lyon ILERI, the Institut Catholique de Paris and HEIP.
