A graduate of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and ENS Ulm with a master's degree in geopolitics, Lise Lesigne specialized in geopolitical issues linked to the sub-Saharan Africa zone during her internship at the Ifri's Sub-Saharan Africa Center from March to July 2023. She was particularly interested in relations between the Gulf countries and the Horn of Africa, completing her final thesis on the impact of investments from the United Arab Emirates in Somaliland. She joined Ifri in October 2023 as project manager for the Sub-Saharan Africa Center and the Turkey/Middle East Program.
